When evacuation centres open during a disaster, you can check how crowded they are in real-time using VACAN Maps. The maps and display are only available in Japanese, but if you choose a browser (such as Safari) from “Settings - Privacy” of your mobile phone, and permit that this system use your location information, so you can view your location and find evacuation centres in the map.
If the evacuation centre is full, the message “closed” will be displayed.
We recommend you register this system on your mobile phone in case of emergencies.
